An Innovative Program For Entrepreneurs!

Recognizing the importance of nurturing innovative thinking in Muskoka's changing economy, Muskoka Futures implemented a program to encourage our entrepreneurial citizens through mentorship, seminars, business resources, and peer networking opportunities. The program is expected to run from November 2011 to June 2012.

Guided by an experienced Project Coordinator, innovators gain access to the skills and knowledge provided by seasoned business professionals. The mentorship component is complemented by workshops and group discussions of benefit to all participants.

The program involves one-on-one meetings between the mentor and innovator partner, at a time convenient for both. The Coordinator provides coaching and monitoring throughout the relationships. There are approximately six group meetings with speakers on topics of the most interest to the group, as well as opportunities for discussion and networking.

Muskoka Futures was honored with the 2010 Award of Excellence from the Ontario Association of Community Futures Development Corporations for this valuable program. To view the commemorative DVD celebrating this award, click here.
