Muskoka Futures is excited to announce the 5th year of the Youth Enterprise Camp. This camp introduces youth, ages 9 - 13, to the values, attitudes, qualities and skills needed to be successful in today's economy. Taking place at the Canadian Ecology Centre in Mattawa, Ontario, high energy games, activities and workshops challenge every participant to discover their entrepreneurial spirit. Campers will also develop confidence, teamwork and communication skills.
Youth Enterprise Camp is:
• A residential summer camp unlike any other - Campers will learn to be their own boss!
• Campers start, run and close down their own Business!
• They learn about entrepreneurship and enjoy summer camp too!
• Make friends and money at the same time!
The Youth Enterprise Camp plants the entrepreneurial seed in our youth in a fun and exciting summer camp atmosphere.
The camp fee for 2011 is $500 + HST (Total of $565.00) and is payable to "Muskoka Futures". The registration form and Muskoka Futures consent form and Ecology Centre consent form are available on-line.
A comprehensive list of fundraising suggestions (click on the tab above) is designed to engage the young entrepreneurial camper in the first step of this business experience: helping to raise the funds for the camp fees. Please encourage your child to take on this challenge: it is an excellent way to start building the self-confidence and motivation that will be fostered at the camp.
Muskoka Futures, with the assistance of community partners, may be able to offer a subsidy to help offset your fees. Please contact the Executive Director of Muskoka Futures if you would like more information on this opportunity.
Several pieces of information about the camp week (camp rules, a list of supplies, and contact information) will be available upon registration to make the experience enjoyable for all.
